HSBC offers a range of rewards options, depending on which credit card you have. All of our credit cards are automatically enrolled for free access to our home&Away Privilege Program, delivering Instant Rewards in over 40 countries, simply by using your card.

In addition, the following rewards programs apply at no extra cost:

The HSBC Credit Card does not qualify for additional rewards.

^~ There are two Reward Programs available. Unless you choose the HSBC Qantas Rewards Program, you will automatically be enrolled in the HSBC Rewards Plus program. Under the HSBC Rewards Plus program you will earn 1.25 HSBC Reward Plus points for every $1 of eligible spend. Under the HSBS Qantas Rewards Program, if you choose it, you will earn one Qantas Frequent Flyer point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases . You do not earn points on cash and cash related transactions. The annual HSBC Qantas Rewards Program fee is $99. Points earn is subject to the terms and conditions of the HSBC Qantas Rewards program. You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program in order to earn or redeem Qantas Frequent Flyer points. Memberships and points of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program are subject to the terms and conditions for that program. See qantas.com/frequentflyer for further information. A joining fee usually applies.

HSBC have teamed up with Travel Plus to give you even more freedom to travel. You can redeem your Rewards Plus Points for flights on any airline, at any time. You can also redeem points for accommodation, packaged holidays, cruises, rail and coach travel.

If there's a flight, hotel room or package available, you can use your Rewards Plus Points or a combination of points and dollars to pay. What's more, you can take advantage of any discounted fares.

You can redeem your Rewards Plus Points for any flight on any airline - there are no black out periods.

Remember if you do not have enough points you can use our Points + Pay option. For any payments on your HSBC credit card you will earn double points.

If you have an HSBC Premier Credit Card, you have the option of choosing between HSBC Rewards Plus and HSBC Qantas Rewards.

HSBC now gives you more choice with Rewards that suit your needs. If you are would like to enrol with HSBC Qantas Rewards, please ring HSBC Premier Centre on 1300 301 168 or speak to your Relationship Manager today.

If your HSBC credit card is linked to the Rewards Plus Program, you will earn one Rewards Plus Point for every dollar you spend on purchases. You can also earn double Rewards Plus Points by using your HSBC credit card at our Bonus Partners.

HSBC Premier Credit Card holders earn 1.25 Rewards Plus Points per dollar spent.

You will not earn Rewards Plus Points on cash advances or balance transfers. Terms, conditions and capping limits apply.

Your can check your Rewards Plus Points balance on your credit card statement (current as at the statement date), using Credit Cards Online, or by calling HSBC on 132 152.

HSBC Rewards Plus points on all HSBC Rewards Plus Programs expire 36 months after issue.

If your HSBC Rewards Plus points are about to expire you will be reminded in your statement. Please look out for this at the bottom of your transaction summary.

For Qantas Frequent Flyer points, points will not expire as long as you earn or use points (excluding family transfers) through your Qantas Frequent Flyer account at least once every 18 months. This includes earning or using points with our program partners. The time period starts from the date of your last activity (in the case of earning points on eligible flights, that is the date the flight was taken).

As an HSBC Platinum cardholder, you can choose almost anything you like when redeeming rewards. So your rewards really are as unlimited as your imagination! Simply provide HSBC with the details of the reward you would like, and we will calculate the points required to redeem it.
