New customers
Apply in store at any of our participating retailers. We'll give you an instant decision so you can be approved on the spot. The application process should only take around 10-15 minutes.
Existing HSBC customers
If you already have an HSBC credit card, you can take advantage of 0% interest promotions without having to re-apply. Ask for details in store at any participating retailer.
Who can apply?
To be eligible for an HSBC Credit Card or Personal Instalment Line you need to:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a permanent resident of Australia
- Have a good credit rating
- Earn more than $20,000 per annum (before tax)
What will I need to complete my application?
Please bring the following with you when you apply in store:
- Proof of your income (either a recent payslip or a letter from your employer) with details of your monthly income after tax
- Your employer's name, phone number and address
- Details of your current financial commitments (eg rent, mortgage, loan repayments)
- Proof of your identity (including photo ID) and address (eg passport, driving licence and utility bill)
