Features of Mobile Banking+

HSBC Mobile Banking gives you quick and secure access to the features and services of HSBC Internet Banking, whenever you're on the move. You can use Mobile Banking to:

  • Check your account balances, history and account summary
  • Use BPAY® to pay your existing billers
  • Transfer funds to linked or other HSBC accounts, and other domestic banks in Australia
  • Transfer between linked foreign currency accounts with Get Rate^
  • Send international money transfers via Telegraphic Transfers
  • Save and retrieve Transfer templates
  • Schedule payments and transfers up to 30 days in advance
  • Open Term Deposits on the go~
  • Exchange rates and rate calculator
  • Receive and send secure messages when calling isn't an option.

Getting Started

To start using HSBC Mobile Banking you will need:

  • A compatible smartphone* device
  • Registered details for Internet Banking. If you have not already registered for Internet Banking, click here
  • An Online Security Device.

Then simply go to www.hsbc.com.au on your smartphone device and you will be automatically sent to HSBC's Mobile Banking where you can instantly logon and begin banking on the move. Alternatively you can download the HSBC Mobile Banking app from iTunes. For more information see our FAQs.

*Compatible smartphone devices include:

  • Apple iPhone, iPod touch, iPad iOS 3.1 and above
  • Android mobile phones that are V2.1 and above
  • Blackberry OS5 and above
  • Windows Phone 7 and above

Online Security

High security with HSBCs Online Security Device

To make Internet and Mobile Banking more secure and to help safeguard you against unauthorised access to your accounts, HSBC issues all Internet Banking customers with an Online Security Device, free of charge.

The Device generates a Security Code that constantly changes. This ensures maximum protection for your online accounts. Used in combination with a unique Internet Banking Username and Password, the Device provides a superior level of protection.
