How to Activate your HSBC Visa Debit Card

Your HSBC Visa Debit Card:

• can be used for purchases in-store, online, by phone, by mail and when overseas
• gives you unlimited transactions at over 2,900 HSBC, Westpac, St George^ and BankSA^ ATMs across Australia at no charge.

Before you can start using your HSBC Visa Debit Card you will need to activate it.

How to activate

1. Call 1300 416 828 (or +61 2 9005 8131 if overseas) and press 1.
2. Enter your Personal Banking Number* (PBN) OR your 12 digit Account Number, which is printed on the back of your card.
3. Enter your Access Code* and follow the prompts. If you don't have an Access Code, you can set one up during the call.
4. Enter your HSBC Visa Debit Card number and the CVV number (CVV is the 3 digit number on the back of your card next to the signature panel).
