If activating online, you'll need to be registered for internet banking and follow these easy steps:
Logon to internet banking.
Select your credit card account.
Select 'Manage your account' and 'Activate Card' and follow the steps to activate your card.
If activating by phone, please call our Customer Service Centre on 132 152 (or +612 9005 8511 if calling from overseas) and follow these 3 easy steps:
Enter your card number.
Follow the prompts to register your account for our automated banking services (if you're not already registered).
Once registered, select the card activation option and follow the prompts. Your HSBC credit card will be activated once this is completed successfully.
For HSBC Premier customers, please call the HSBC Premier Centre on 1300 301 168 (or +612 9005 8192 if calling from overseas) and have your HSBC Premier credit card with you for Activation.
How can I change my HSBC credit card PIN?
You can change your PIN by logging on to HSBC's internet banking service. Once you're logged in, select 'Manage your account' from the menu, then select 'My Security' and then 'Change my PIN' and follow the simple instructions to change your PIN.
How do I make an online payment to my HSBC credit card?
You can perform a BPAY® payment online using the HSBC internet banking service. The biller code to use is 17095. If you are not registered for our internet banking service, contact our Customer Service Centre on 132 152 (+612 9005 8511 if calling from overseas). How do I increase or decrease my HSBC credit card credit limit?
If you would like to apply to have your HSBC credit card credit limit increased, the primary cardholder will need to complete a Credit Limit Increase Request form. You can apply for a credit limit increase provided your HSBC credit card account has been open for 6 months, your account has been kept in good order, and you have not applied for an increase in the previous 6 months. HSBC's credit criteria apply.

Can I use my HSBC credit card at an ATM to withdraw cash?
Yes, you can use your HSBC credit card at any ATM worldwide that carries the 'Visa' or 'PLUS' or 'MasterCard' logos. You'll need to use your PIN. Withdrawals from ATMs are treated as Cash Advances, with interest charged from the date of withdrawal. Fees and charges, terms and conditions apply to cash advances.
