What to do if you suspect a scam or fraud

If you're a victim of a scam or your bank details have been compromised, or if you're simply worried about fraud on your account:

  • Please call HSBC at (+612) 9005 8220 and press ‘*’ then select from the menu options, or
  • Visit the nearest HSBC branch.

What happens once you have contacted HSBC regarding a suspected scam or fraud?

  1. For HSBC Credit and Debit Cards: Your transaction dispute will be lodged and a dedicated Card Dispute Officer will be assigned to manage your case through to resolution in accordance with the Visa or MasterCard process. For more information, please visit the following pages:

  2. For other HSBC Products: A dedicated investigator will be assigned to your case and you may be contacted by the Bank to provide further information to complete the investigation.
